Natural Luffa Sponge

$6.00

Luffa (or loofah) are versatile natural sponges that come from the dried luffa plant. They make an excellent plastic replacement for bath & body, dish, or cleaning sponges. The plant-based fibers are rough when dry but soft enough to gently scrub skin or dishes when wet.

There may be some seeds or dried plant material trapped in the loofah, but they will fall out over time. Luffa sponges can be composted or buried in the garden at the end of their life. Each sponge is approximately 5”

We named our 2022 luffa plant “Lucky Luffa” because the seeds were planted on 2-2-22. They were indeed prolific, producing over 78 luffa fruits during the growing season from one plant. If you’d like to try growing your own, browse our collection of organic seeds in the Shop.
